Phicomm to introduce quad-core smartphone in September - CNET
Admittedly, we weren't too impressed with the Phicomm i300nc when we tested it earlier this year. It's very affordable (for an Android smartphone) and comes with dual-SIM slots, but the old Gingerbread Android OS and screen sensitivity just didn't cut it for us. Having said that, the company's upcoming range of handsets in Singapore does seem a little more promising.
For one thing, all the new handsets come with at least Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is the minimum one can expect to find in an Android phone these days. More importantly, it feels rather responsive, thanks in part to the onboard dual-core processors. One unique feature among the new Phicomm offerings is the dual-SIM slot which will be great for those who travel frequently.
